Heat wave broils Northeast Nebraska
Temperatures smashed through the 100-degree barrier across Northeast Nebraska Saturday and Sunday.

WYNOT — The 2006-07 calendar for Wynot Public School has several dates on it for the month of August.
School will start back in session Aug. 17 for students at Wynot Public School; Teachers will be back at school for in-service education on Aug. 14. Homecoming at Wynot High School will be Sept. 15 this year. (read more)

HARTINGTON — A total of 47 landowners in the Wynot School District have filed petitions to have their land transferred into the Hartington School District
Cedar County Clerk Dave Dowling said the parcels, which could be transferred out of the Wynot District, now carry a total value of $11,652,000, which is approximately 15 percent of the total value of the Wynot School District. (read more)

LINCOLN  — The Nebraska School Activities Association (NSAA) will present the NSAA Cup, an all-activities championship, and Academic All-State Awards during the coming school year. (read more)
