Wesley D. Campbell
Hartington — Wesley D. Campbell, 79, Hartington, died May 3, 2007, at the Golden Living Center, Hartington.
Visitation, with a prayer service and video tribute, were May at the Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington, and continued one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
Funeral Services were May 7 Trinity Lutheran Church, Hartington, with Rev. Bob Bryan officiating.
Burial was in the Hartington City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were David Campbell, Dale Campbell, Jack Wohlman, Becky Campbell, Jerry Wohlman and Dean Herman.
Honorary pallbearers were Troy Armstrong, Don Campbell, Stephen Rich, Tom Rich Jr., Dan Armstrong, Brian Rich, Beverly Campbell, Gary Wohlman and Charlene Herman.
Wes was born Oct. 5, 1927, at Obert, to Russell and Mabel (Klanderud) Campbell. He grew up in the Obert area and farmed all of his life in the Obert and Hartington areas. He married LaVonne Rich April 5, 1975, at Hartington. Wes retired from farming in 2004.
He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and liked to hunt, fish and bowl. He enjoyed visiting with his friends.
Wes is survived by his wife, LaVonne, Hartington; a son, Kelly Campbell, Bellevue; a sister-in-law, Shirley Campbell, Loveland, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Wayne; and a sister and brother-in-law, Wilma and Vern Wohlman.
