Sterling B. Stage
O'Fallon, Mo. — Sterling B. Stage, 84, died April 18, 2007, at his residence.
Visitation was at the Baue Funeral Home, O'Fallon, Mo.
Funeral services were April 21 at The Baue Chapel, O'Fallon.
Interment was cremation at the Baue Crematory with burial in Mount Zion Cemetery, O'Fallon, Mo.
Sterling was born June 3, 1922, in Laurel, to Leroy and Frances Stage. He was self-employed for 60 years as an accountant.
He was a member of Cornerstone Methodist Church, O'Fallon; a graduate of the University of Nebraska; a member of the O'Fallon American Legion Post; and in the horse calvary and infantry in WWII. Sterling also served in the U.S. Army.
Sterling is survived by his wife, Vera J. McKee Stage, O'Fallon, Mo.; sons and daughter-in-laws, Ronald E. and Laura Stage, Wentzville, Mo., and Thomas A. and Laurie Stage, O'Fallon, Mo.; one daughter and spouse, Janet L. and John Brune, Wentzville, Mo.; sister, Beatrice Atwater, Lakewood, Co.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild
Sterling was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Frances Stage, and brother, Warren Stage.
