Ronald F. Pinkelman
Wynot — Ronald F. Pinkelman, 56, Wynot, died Feb. 9, 2007, at his residence after a lingering illness.
Visitation and a rosary were at the Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington. A vigil service and video tribute were held at Holy Family (Sacred Heart) Catholic Church, Wynot, later in the evening. Visitation continued Feb. 13 at the church prior to services.
Mass of Christian Burial was Feb. 13 at Holy Family (Sacred Heart) Catholic Church, with Rev. Michael Keating officiating.
Burial was in the Sts. Philip and James Cemetery, St. James.
Pallbearers were David Goeden, Darrell Pinkelman, Richard Boeckman, Leland Kneifl, Jerome Pinkelman and Emery Weipen.
Honorary pallbearers were his nieces and nephews, Kathy Fick, Mike Goeden, Jeff Goeden, Jennifer Pinkelman, Teresa Burgi, Erin Pinkelman, Christopher Pinkelman, Martin Pinkelman, and Amanda Pinkelman.
Ronald was born July 7, 1950, in Yankton, S.D., to Leonard and Marjorie (Day) Pinkelman. He grew up, lived and farmed on the same farm southeast of Wynot. He graduated from Cedar Catholic High School in 1970.
He was a member of the Sts. Philip and James Catholic Church, St. James, until it closed and then became a member of Holy Family (Sacred Heart) Catholic Church, Wynot. Ronald loved animals and farming. He especially loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.
Ronald is survived by four brothers and sisters and their spouses, Gerald Pinkelman, Wynot; twin brother, Raymond and Cynthia Pinkelman, Fordyce; Carol and Harold Goeden, Wells, Minn.; and Alice and John Gatzemeyer, Newcastle; 10 nieces and nephews; and eight great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Martin; and an infant sister.
