Phyllis Westerman
Laurel — Phyllis Westerman, 87, Dixon, died March 31, 2007, at Providence Medical Center, Wayne.
 Visitation and a prayer service were April 3 at Hasemann-Schumacher Funeral Home, Laurel.
Services will be April 4, at 10:30 a.m., at United Methodist Church, Allen, with Rev. Sara Simmons officiating.
Pallbearers will be Lonnie Martinson, Barry Martinson, Allen Lorimor, Jim Lorimor, Andrew Backman, Charles Fiscus
Interment will be in Concord Cemetery, Concord.
Phyllis Viola Westerman was born Nov. 14, 1919, on a farm near Laurel, to Charles Oliver and Clara L. (Pembrook) Bass. She was baptized and confirmed in the Methodist faith.  She attended rural school near Laurel.  Phyllis married Jack Westerman Aug. 9, 1938. The couple lived in Dixon their entire married life. She was employed at Waldbaum’s, Wakefield, for over 19 years.
Phyllis was a past member of the Dixon United Methodist Church; United Methodist Women, Dixon; and attended the United Methodist Church, Allen. 
Phyllis enjoyed her flowers and  gardening as well as knitting and crocheting.    
Phyllis is survived by her sister, Lillian Lorimor, Sioux City, Iowa, and many nieces and nephews whom she cared for as newborn babies.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, 1964; parents; and four brothers and six sisters.
