Paul Dietrich Jr.
Bancroft — Paul Dietrich Jr., 66, formerly of Bancroft, died March 24, 2007, at Casa De Paz Care Center, Sioux City, Iowa.
A visitation will be March 28, from 3-5 p.m., at the Munderloh Funeral Home, Pender.
Funeral services will be March 29, at 10 a.m., at the Munderloh Funeral Home, Pender, with the Rev. Jeffrey Warner officiating.
Interment will be in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Bancroft.
Paul Jr. was born Feb. 26, 1941, in West Point, to Paul and Adella (Lase) Dietrich Sr. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church, rural Bancroft. He graduated in 1959 from West Point High School. After graduation he farmed and raised cattle with his father. He married Ann Johnson Oct. 2, 1965, at Zion Lutheran Church. She died May 21, 2005. The couple lived on the family farm for many years where he continued to farm and raise cattle and sheep. In 1979, he bought a Kenworth Cabover Semi Tractor and a dump trailer. Over the years he hauled a variety of different cargo in various trailers he owned. In 1989, a truck accident forced him to seek various other jobs until his health deteriorated, forcing him to retire in 2002.
Paul Jr. is survived by two daughters, Stacey Oerman and her husband Mark, Waterbury, and Heidi Keil and her husband, Steven, Concord; grandchildren, Dustin, Dakota and Dalton Oerman, Matthew Freeman, and Wyatt and Cheyenne Keil. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Paul Jr. was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Adella; his wife, Ann; son, Ryan; sister, Diane Haase; in-laws Hyle and Evelyn Johnson; and his grandparents.
