Marie F. Ruger
Coleridge — Marie F. Ruger, 103, Coleridge, died April 21, 2007, at the Park View Haven Nursing Home, Coleridge.  
Visitation,  with a vigil service and video tribute, was April 23 at the Wintz Funeral Home, Coleridge.
Mass of Christian Burial was April 24  at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Coleridge, with Rev. John Pietramale officiating. 
Burial was in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Coleridge.
Pallbearers were Randy Ruger, Ken Ruger, Dennis Vock, Doug Ingalls, Bob Woodard, John Ruger, Jerry Ruger and Travis Rupp.
Marie was born May 26, 1903, at Hartington to Joseph and Frances (Schoneberg) Bracht.  She grew up and attended school in the Hartington area.  She married Ervin J. Ruger Jan. 12, 1926, at Hartington.  He died Oct. 16, 1990.  She lived in the Hartington and Coleridge areas almost all of her life.  She and Ervin moved into Coleridge in 1954.  She worked in several cafes and at the Coleridge Nursing Home, retiring in 1968 as a nurse’s aide.  She had been a resident of the Park View Haven Nursing Home since May of 2000.
Marie was a member of the St. Michael’s Catholic Church and altar society, the St. Michael’s Cemetery Association, Christian Mothers, and the Coleridge American Legion Auxillary Post 114.  She loved to dance and play cards.
She is survived by nine children and their spouses, Gerald and Cathy Ruger, Ft Mohave, Ariz; Richard and Mary Ruger, Madison, S.D.; Rita Woodard, Norfolk; Ann and Duane Vock, Mission, Kan.; Norma and Lyle “Mert” Sassaman, Ft. Mohave, Ariz.; Kenneth and Elizabeth Ruger, West Point; Betty and Loran Ingalls, Sargeant Bluff, Iowa; Lyle and Vickki Ruger, Redondo Beach, Calif.; Donald Ruger, San Francisco, Calif.; 44 grandchildren, 93 great-grandchildren, 37 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Joseph and Robert Ruger; three grandchildren; four brothers, Joe, Bill, Leo and Frank Bracht; and three sisters, Gertrude Bracht, Ann Saylor and Elizabeth Crandall.
