Mary Evelyne Noe
Nebraska City — Mary Evelyne Noe, 91, Nebraska City, died May 6, 2007, at Morton House Assisted Living, Nebraska City.
Visitation was May 8 at Marshall Funeral Chapel, Nebraska City.
Memorial services will be May 11 at the United Methodist Church, Allen, with Rev. Sara Simmons officiating.
Interment will be in the East View Cemetery, Allen.
Mary was born Sept. 11, 1915, in Randolph, to Isaac and Artie (Philpott) Gray. She married Oliver Edward Noe Feb. 23, 1935, in Laurel. He died Sept. 1, 1985. She farmed with her husband on the family farm near Dixon for many years prior to retirement,
and moved to Nebraska City in 1995.
She was a 50-year member of the Dixon United Methodist Church. She also belonged to Dixon United Methodist Women, and Dixon WCTU, several clubs in the Dixon area, and attended the First United Methodist Church, Nebraska City, where she was in the Wesleyan group.
She loved cooking, card games, crossword puzzles and scrabble.
Survivors include her sons, Keith Noe, Lincoln; Arvin Noe and his wife, Pat, Downs, Ill.; daughters, Doris Robley and her husband, Floyd, Nebraska City; Darlene Boeshart and her husband, Rick, Eureka Springs, Ark.; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Grace Green, Allen, and Ruby Noe, Melba, Idaho; cousin, Fae Hirsch, Sioux City, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; foster parents, Jesse and Grace (Philpott) Lamb; sisters, Ruth, Gaile, Dorothy, Ruby and Myrtle; brother, Harold; foster brother, Lloyd; and foster sister, Louise.
