Luella Pearl Hansen
Wayne — Luella Pearl Hansen, 93, Wayne, died April 7, 2007, at Providence Medical Center, Wayne.
Visitation was April 9 at Hasemann-Schumacher Funeral Home, Wayne.
Services were April 10 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Wayne, with Rev. William Koeber and Rev. Gail Axen officiating.
Pallbearers were John Hansen, Jeremy Hansen, Nicholas Hansen, Tom Hansen, Dale Hansen, Jack Hansen, Brent Hild, Trisha Hansen, Laura Hansen, Jill Kaps, Susan Smith, Sara Buettner, Margaret Serratt, Eric Archambault, Todd Hue, Annalene Hue, Kathleen Hue, and Eddie Hue.
Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery, Wayne. 
Luella Pearl Hansen was born Nov. 1, 1913, at the family home three miles southeast of Laurel, to William R. and Ollie Pearl (Burton) French. She attended school at Dixon, Ponca, Concord and Laurel. She graduated from Laurel High School where she was Valedictorian, and received her teaching degree from Wayne State Teachers College. Luella taught school at Tip Top rural school at Laurel; Carroll rural school; Wenatchee, Wash.; and was a substitute teacher in Wayne County. Luella married John Hansen July 17, 1943, at Wenatchee, where John was based in the Army Air Force. They lived in Dixon, Carroll, Randolph, Sholes and then Wayne.
Luella was a member of Zion Congregational Church near Carroll, Ladies Aid, and served as Sunday school teacher and 4-H Leader.
Luella enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking, and most of all, her family.
Luella is survived by her husband, John; and children, John and Ollie (Hansen) Archambault, Casa, Grande, Ariz.; Lonnie and Sheryl Hansen, Peterson, Iowa; William and Janet Hansen, Stanton; Pearl Hansen, Wayne; Loren and Chris Hansen, Osmond; Ed and Margaret (Hansen) Hue, Kennewick, Wash.; and Tim and Mary (Hansen) Hansen, Wisner; 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Mildred Granquist, Golden, Colo.: brothers, Darrell and Dorothy French, Carroll; sisters-in-law, Doreen Evans, Watertown, S.D.; Melba French, Buhl, Idaho; and Ellen Hansen, Wayne; many nieces, nephews, wonderful friends, and Dakota.
Luella was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Marjorie Otte, Frances Roberts and Dolores DeArman; and brothers, Dwight French and Dwain French.
