Kenneth A. Tuttle
Laurel — Kenneth A. Tuttle, 80, Laurel, died May 26, 2007, at his residence in Laurel.
Visitation was May 29 at Hasemann-Schumacher Funeral Home.
Funeral serevices were May 30 at United Methodist Church, Laurel, with Rev. Murry Jay Johnston officiating.
Honorary pallbearers were Bob Hopkins, Louis Tolles, Keith Clarkson, Gordie Voss, Logan Garber, Ron Burns, Keith Lubberstedt, Duane White and Jimmy Thompson
Pallbearers were Derrick Hirschman, Andrew Tuttle, Kaleb Gade, T.J. Hannasch, Molly Gade, Marisa Hirshman, Abby Tuttle, Maggie Murphy and Virginia Murphy
Interment was in Laurel Cemetery, Laurel.
Kenneth Austin Tuttle was born Dec. 23, 1926, on a farm near Newcastle, to Frank and Gladys (Wright) Tuttle. Kenny attended Dailey Township at Newcastle and graduated from Ponca High School. He married Virginia Paulson Jan. 18, 1948, at the Methodist Church, Dixon. The couple farmed and raised their family near Laurel. Virginia passed away in 1986, after 38 years of marriage. Kenny continued to farm and married Darlene (Watkins) Gregory March 23, 1991, in Jefferson, S.D. Farming was his pride and joy.
In 1992, Kenny began working at Cedar View Country Club, Laurel, as a green’s keeper and took great pride in the course. He was also a very skillful carpenter making many Nativity scenes for his children.
Kenny is survived by his wife, Darlene, Laurel; children and spouses, Doug and Mickey Tuttle, Lincoln; Gloria and Mike Hirschman, Lawton, Iowa; Tamara Parks, Omaha; and Valerie and Mike Murphy, Lincoln; sister and husband, Dorothy and Bill Gill, McCook Lake, S.D.; step-children and spouses, Leslyn and Beth Gregory, St. Petersburg, Fla.; Luverne Gregory, Pigeon Forge, Tenn.; Milton and Carol Gregory, Lakeland, Fla.; and Kris and Mike Smith, Elba, Ala.; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; and 16 step great-grandchildren.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Virginia; daughter, Bonnie Silvey; infant son; and one brother.
