James Clifford Dahlman
Vermillion, S.D.—James Clifford Dahlman, 80, died April 24, 2007, at the Sanford Vermillion Hospital, Vermillion, S.D.
Visitation, with a vigil service, was April 27, at Iverson-Siecke Funeral Home, Vermillion.
Services were April 28 at the United Methodist Church, Vermillion, with Rev. Brook McBride officiating.
Burial was in the Bluff View Cemetery, Vermillion, with military graveside services conducted by the Vermillion Clay Post #3061.
James was born July 28, 1926, in Vermillion to Carl and Georginia (Almlund) Dahlman. He married Phyllis Elaine Druin July 3, 1956. She died Aug. 31, 1996. James graduated from Vermillion High School in May 2001.
James was a retired mail carrier for United States Postal Service and received a pin for 40 years of service.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Vermillion, and a long-time church usher. He was in the U.S. Army during World War II, and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and VFW.
He is survived by daughters and spouses, Carlotta and Tom Kruse, Vermillion, S.D.; and Linda and Sam Nickel, Hartington; sister and husband, Helen and Chuck Meier, Stow, Ohio; brothers and wives, Herbert and Brenda Dahlman, Port Carlotta, Fla., and Richard and Nancy Dahlman, Rapid City, S.D.; grandsons, Matt and Shawn Kruse, Vermillion, S.D.; granddaughters, Amanda and Sara Nickel, Hartington; and great-grandson, Connor Matthew Ganschow, Vermillion, S.D.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Robert Dahlman.
