Big Spring, Texas — Iona G. Bruccini, 84, Big Spring, Texas, died April 2, 2007, at her residence.
Iona will lie in state Tuesday, April 3, Nalley-Pickle and Welch Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at Wintz Funeral Home Chapel,, Hartington.
Interment will be at Wynot Cemetery, Wynot.
Iona was born Jan. 6, 1923, in Bristow, to Andrew and Emma Anderson, and was raised in rural northeast Nebraska. She lived in Wynot for a number of years and then lived in Whittier, Calif., until coming to Big Spring, Texas, in 1977. She had worked for over 21 years at Wal-Mart, where she was still employed at the time of her death.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Gail and Pete Rosenbaum, Big Spring, Texas, and Linda and James Norton, Fresno, Calif.; two grandsons, Chuck Rosenbaum, Big Spring, Texas, and Chris Rosenbaum, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one great-grandchild; her parents; two brothers, Axel C. Anderson and Hans M. “Pete” Anderson; three sisters, Ethel R. McClellan, Thelma M. Burrus and Bonnie L. Olsen.
