Fonielle F. Carlson
Visitation was April 15 at Moser Memorial Chapel, Fremont, and continued Monday prior to funeral services at the church.
Funeral Services were April 16 at the Evangelical Free Church, Fremont, with the Rev. Eldon Carlson officiating.
Burial was at the Memorial Cemetery, Fremont.
Fonielle F. Carlson was born Aug. 25, 1932, in Conestoga, S.D., to John and Delila (Garnjobst) Holdren. She was raised at Yankton, S.D., and married Melvin D. Carlson June 21,1953, in Yankton. The couple farmed near Laurel from 1953-1976, when they moved to North Bend. Melvin died Nov. 29, 1992. Fonielle has resided in Gretna since February 2004.
Fonielle is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Lynn Byrd, Omaha; sons and daughters-in-laws, Doug and Jean Carlson, Omaha; Todd and Beth Carlson, Gretna; and Gary and Kim Carlson, Elkhorn; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Jack and wife, Barbara Holdren, Sioux City, Iowa; sisters, Shirley Glaser, St. Paul, Minn.; Jane Ketterling, Bismark, N.D.; and Joann and husband, Dale Thompson, Fredericksburg, Va.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and an infant brother
