Eugene "Peanut" Anderson
LAMESA, Texas — Eugene "Peanut" Anderson, 75, Lamesa, Texas, died May 4, 2007, at his residence.
Visitation was at Branon Funeral Home, Lamesa.
Funeral services were May 7 at the Second Baptist Church, Lamesa, with the Rev. Rush Coffman officiating and the Rev. Clifton Igo assisting.
Burial followed at Lamesa Memorial Park under the direction of Branon Funeral Home.
Eugene was born July 30, 1931, in Sioux City, Iowa. He married Margie Banister June 6, 1954, in Wayne. He was a resident of Laurel and graduated from Laurel in 1950.
Eugene retired as a mechanic from Walls and Anderson Tractor Mechanics and had served in Korea as an artillery survey specialist.
Survivors include four daughters, Vicky Williams and husband, Joe, Duncan, Okla.; Kathy Smith and Shirley Roberts, both of Lamesa; and Teresa Howard and husband, Jerry, Plains, Texas; a son, Jeff Anderson and wife, Janis, Round Rock, Texas; a sister, Joan Dresden, Nebraska; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Second Baptist Scholarship Fund.
