Doris Grosskop
Creighton — Doris Grosskop, 83, Creighton, died Feb. 13, 2007, at Immanuel Medical Center, Omaha.
Services were Feb. 17 at Christ Lutheran Church, Creighton, with Pastor Terrell Huber officiating.
Honorary pallbearers were VFW Post #1151 Auxiliary.
Brockhaus Funeral Home, Creighton, was in charge of arrangements.
Doris Grosskop, daughter of Lewis and Victoria (Thierolf) Hansen, was born July 25, 1923, at Dorsey. She attended Star School, Holt County, and graduated from Creighton High School. She was married to Ernest Grosskop Aug. 29, 1945, at Billings, Mont. They lived in the Walnut and Verdigre area before moving to Creighton.
Doris was a member of the Lutheran faith, and was active in the VFW #1151 Auxiliary and the Just So Busy Club.
Survivors include her children, Luwyne and Mary Grosskop, Hartington, and Tamra and Steve Miller, Palmer, Alaska; three grandchildren, Harlen, Sam and Jessie; and one great-grandchild, Hunter; two sisters, Ardis Swanson, Norfolk, and Joyce Lantz, Creighton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest; her parents; a sister, Helen Sukup; and a brother, William Hansen.
Memorials are directed to the VFW Auxiliary #1151, Creighton.
